Ming founded Upshot Ventures in 2015, and established CSC Upshot in partnership with AngelList and the CSC Group, to help founders and operator angels seed their companies.

Ming has built her career around her passion for connecting capital to technology innovation between the US and Asia. She raised CSC Upshot with capital sources from China, represented by the CSC Group and Baidu, to invest in innovative technology companies in the US. Prior to Upshot, she spent six years in Shanghai as a venture capitalist at SVB Capital (part of SVB Financial Group), headed up its Asia practice. In that capacity, Ming built up SVB’s presence in China and opened its Hong Kong office. During her time in China, she helped Chinese entrepreneurs build globally scalable companies. She served on the board of China Venture Capital and Private Equity Association. Prior to China, Ming also co-founded PacRim Venture Partners in Menlo Park, CA, which like CSC Upshot connected capital from Asia with innovative companies in the US. She began her career as an engineer at Sun Microsystems, designing microprocessors and earned three patents for her work there. Her engineering and operational background contributes to the value she brings to the founders and operator angels with whom she works. Ming currently sits on the board of AAMA (Asian American MultiTechnology Association) and is a member of the Wellesley College Business Leadership Council. Ming holds an MBA from MIT Sloan, a MS in Electrical Engineering from USC and a BA in Physics from Wellesley College.

Anuja has over 15 years of experience in Finance and Accounting. Prior to joining CSC Upshot, Anuja worked at Standish Management LLC, LCatterton and KPMG LLP. She holds a Masters in Accounting from Pace University Lubin School of Business and a BA in Economics and Political Science from Wellesley College.

Jessie joined CSC Upshot in 2022 focusing on investments. Prior to Upshot, she worked at MUFG in New York, covering US Private Placements, and at JPMorgan, in a variety of roles including coverage of structured debt and corporate banking for Asian MNCs. Having moved several times between US and China while growing up, she is passionate about bridging the two markets through innovation- and impact-driven allocation of capital. Jessie holds a Masters in Finance from MIT Sloan and a BS in Business Administration from Berkeley Haas (Go Bears!).

Aasawari has over a decade of experience in Finance and Accounting. She joined CSC Upshot in October 2022. Prior to her current role, Aasawari worked at Ernst & Young - India, in indirect taxation, covering clients such as Vodafone, Honeywell, Symantec Software Solutions with their compliance needs. She began her career as an auditor at Kalyaniwalla & Mistry LLP Chartered Accountants, supporting audits and due diligence for clients such as Air India, Godrej & Boyce and Go Air.

Aasawari holds a Masters in Business Administration from IIBM Institute of Business Management and a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from University of Mumbai. She also holds a certification from the Bombay Stock Exchange in Technical Analysis.
